Fasset reached unicorn status after raising USD 68 million in Series C funding at a USD 1 billion valuation. This comes as the fintech moves to scale its AI-powered stablecoin neobanking platform across international markets.
SBI Group led the Series C as Fasset expands its financial infrastructure, stablecoin settlement capabilities, and AI systems across global markets.
Why You Should Care
The raise gives Fasset more capital to build financial infrastructure connecting banks, payment providers, liquidity networks, and other financial institutions across international markets.
For emerging markets, where access to global financial services can vary significantly by geography, Fasset is targeting a more connected model for moving money and accessing financial assets. The company is also expanding its use of AI to improve how transactions move across currencies, payment rails, liquidity providers, and settlement methods.
The round also strengthens the link between Japan and high growth markets across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia through SBI Group, which sees stablecoin based settlement and remittance infrastructure as part of its broader digital finance strategy.
The Details
Founded in 2019 by Mohammad Raafi Hossain and Daniel Ahmed, Fasset is an AI-powered stablecoin neobanking platform. It provides financial accounts through which individuals, businesses, and institutions can receive, hold, move, spend, and invest across currencies and asset classes.
SBI Group led the Series C, following Fasset’s USD 51 million Series B in May 2026. The latest financing brings Fasset’s total funding raised during 2026 to USD 119 million.
Looking ahead, with the new capital, it aims to support the expansion of Own Network. This is Fasset’s regulated financial infrastructure that connects banking, payments, liquidity, custody, and settlement providers across more than 100 banking corridors.
It also seeks to increase investment in AI systems designed to support corridor banking, stablecoin settlement, and tokenized asset infrastructure. The company uses AI to help determine how transactions should be routed based on factors such as cost, speed, and available liquidity.
The Ripple
The investment expands an existing relationship between Fasset and SBI Group, one of Japan’s major financial groups. The partnership also builds on Fasset’s work with SBI Remit, which supports bank account remittances across approximately 200 countries.
For Fasset, the relationship could provide access to a broader financial ecosystem as it expands across the Asia Pacific region and into the Middle East and Africa.
The funding also reflects growing investor interest in infrastructure that connects stablecoins, traditional banking systems, and digital assets within regulated financial frameworks. Fasset’s model places these components behind a single financial account rather than requiring customers to manage the underlying settlement infrastructure themselves.
What to Watch
Fasset’s next phase will focus on expanding Own Network, increasing its AI capabilities, and growing its presence across international markets.
The key signal will be whether the company can turn its existing transaction volume, customer base, and banking partnerships into broader adoption across consumer, business, and institutional markets.
