As autonomous mobility moves closer to commercial scale, investors are increasingly backing the infrastructure required to keep driverless fleets running.

Moove raised USD 250 million in a Series C funding round led by Mubadala Investment Company. The round was also co-led by Woven Capital and Ion Pacific. Additionally, the round saw participation from BlueCrest Capital Management, Sona Asset Management, and The Raptor Group. Additionally, it also saw participation from BlackRock, Uber, MUFG, Franklin Templeton, Left Lane, and Silverbacks Holdings.

With the funding, the startup seeks to accelerate the rollout of infrastructure supporting autonomous vehicle fleets globally.

Why You Should Care

The investment highlights growing confidence in companies building the operational infrastructure behind autonomous mobility rather than the self-driving technology itself.

It also reinforces the UAE’s role in backing advanced mobility platforms with global ambitions, as autonomous transportation moves closer to large-scale commercial deployment.

The Details

Founded in 2020 by Ladi Delano and Jide Odunsi, Moove is a global mobility company. It owns and operates productive mobility assets for leading mobility platforms across manned and autonomous transportation.

“We started in Lagos with a simple insight: mobility demand is abundant, but supply cannot scale unless capital, technology, and operations move together. Five years later, that insight has evolved into a global platform. Today, we are focused on building the platform that will redefine mobility and enable billions of autonomous journeys worldwide,”

Ladi Delano, Co-Founder, Co-CEO and Advisory Board Chairman of Moove

Looking ahead, with the funding, it aims to support the expansion of its autonomous vehicle business. This includes autonomous fleet ownership and robotics-first depot infrastructure “Nests”, where autonomous fleets are charged, serviced, maintained and orchestrated for continuous operation.  It also aims to support new market launches globally.

The Ripple

The funding reflects increasing investor interest in the infrastructure required to support autonomous mobility at scale. As more autonomous vehicle developers commercialize their technology, demand is expected to grow for companies providing fleet ownership, charging infrastructure, maintenance, and operational management. The investment also strengthens the UAE’s position as a base for globally focused mobility companies and aligns with broader efforts to diversify the economy through advanced technology investments.

What to Watch

Moove’s next milestone will be expanding its autonomous fleet operations into additional cities while scaling its robotics-first depot network. The company’s ability to deploy infrastructure alongside partners such as Waymo will be a key indicator of how quickly autonomous mobility can transition from limited deployments to broader commercial transportation networks.
