What happened? The Innovative Startups and SMEs Fund (ISSF) announced a USD 3 million investment in Antler MENAP Fund LP. 

“This partnership underscores ISSF’s commitment to catalyzing Jordan’s entrepreneurial ecosystem by backing global venture capital funds with a strong regional focus,” said ISSF CEO, Mohammed Al Muhtaseb

What will they do with the funding? Through this dedicated Jordan fund, it aims to equip Jordanian founders with capital, structure, and global networks. This is to scale up their ideas into successful ventures and support the development of high potential startups.

Antler

Who are they? Founded in Singapore, Antler is an early-stage investor and focuses on the “Day Zero” approach. Moreover, this approach focuses on partnering with founders from the very beginning of their journey.

Antler operates over 15 pre-seed funds in a distributed network led by a partnership of experienced operators. Additionally, it is also present in 27 cities across technology ecosystems globally and made over 1,500 investments into early-stage startups.

ISSF is a USD 60 million early stage venture capital fund launched by Antler. It focuses on  pre-seed to Series A investments across the MENA region, with a sector agnostic mandate.
