- AMD and Humain will invest USD 10B to build AI infrastructure, deploying 500MW of compute capacity over five years.
- AWS and Humain to invest USD 5B in Saudi Arabia’s AI zone, offering infrastructure, training, and Arabic LLM development.
Humain
What’s happening? Saudi’s new AI venture, Humain, in the first days of its launch has entered into major investment deals.
AMD and Humain announced an agreement to invest USD 10 billion. This is to build AI infrastructure aiming to deploy 500 megawatts of AI compute capacity over the next five years.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Humain announced plans to invest over USD 5 billion to build an AI zone in Saudi Arabia.
AWS
The AI zone will include AWS services such as AI infrastructure, servers, networks, and training and certification. Additionally, Humain aims to develop AI solutions using AWS technologies for its customers.
Furthermore, both will work on the development of a unified AI agent marketplace. This is to simplify the discovery, deployment, and management of AI software for the Saudi Arabia government. In addition, they aim to accelerate the growth of Large Language Models (LLMs), including Arabic Large Language Models (ALLaM).
In April 2025, AWS collaborated with Manara to launch an initiative to train software engineers with an investment of USD 3.6 million.
AMD
AMD and Humain will build an AI superstructure aiming for it to be accessible at a scale, optimized to power AI workloads. This is across enterprise, start-up and sovereign markets.
In the partnership, the Saudi AI venture will oversee end-to-end delivery including hyperscale data center, sustainable power systems, and global fiber interconnects. On the other hand, AMD will provide the full spectrum of the AMD AI compute portfolio and the AMD ROCm™ open software ecosystem.
