What happened? Saudi-Egyptian startup, Darwiniz AI, raised USD 325 thousand in its first funding round. The round was led by Flat6Labs KSA and Glint Ventures.
What is next? With the funding, it will support expansion plans in the GCC starting with expanding its presence in office in Riyadh. In addition, it also aims to enhance its Dima platform based on customer feedback. This is as the company prepares for global expansion in 2026.
However, the founders stated that the company does not currently intend to launch new products. Instead it is focusing their efforts on refining Dima for its customer base.
Dima
Who are they? Founded in Egypt in 2021 by Emad Elazhary and Mohy Aboualam, Darwinz AI offers an AI co-pilot for brand managers, marketers and PR professionals. Furthermore, it offers an AI-powered platform called Dima that helps marketing and PR teams. It helps them track brand sentiment, detect potential crises and analyst media coverage in real time.
Its platform launched in late 2024 and it targets industries such as telecom, F&B, banking, real estate, automotive, aviation, and the public sector.
Bottom Line: Darwinz AI is doubling down on its core product, Dima, as it scales into the GCC. Rather than diversifying too soon, the startup is sharpening its AI tools for marketing and PR teams. Moreover, the company is not launching new products at this stage, Instead, it is prioritizing regional growth and platform improvements based on user feedback.
