Bahrain’s Raise Program Launches New Cohort With 10 Startups

  • Spring Venture Services launches Raise Cohort 9, backed by Tamkeen, to train Bahraini startups on investment readiness and scaling.
  • The program offers mentorship, investor access, and prepares founders to pitch at the StartUp Bahrain Pitch Series events.
  • Ten startups, including Unlabelled, Lamma, and WeFit, will compete for funding, mentorship, and growth opportunities through Raise’s two-week bootcamps.

 Spring Venture Services launched Cohort 9 of “Raise: The Art of Fundraising” supported by The Labour Fund (Tamkeen). 

The program is  a two-week intensive bootcamp designed to equip Bahraini startup founders with the skills needed to scale. Additionally, it offers interactive workshops, engaging fireside chats, and personalized one-on-one office hours. This is to provide founders with the essential skills to master fundraising, refine their pitch, and build a winning business strategy.

This partnership aligns with Tamkeen’s 2025 strategy which focuses on enhancing the position and competitiveness of Bahrainis in the private sector. This through equipping them with suitable skills for career development in the private sector, and prioritizing enterprise growth, digitization. 

Program

The ‘Raise’ program aims to prepare Bahraini startups to pitch at the ongoing StartUp Bahrain Pitch Series. Furthermore, it seeks to empower founders with tailored hands-on mentorship in pitching, and business modeling. It also gives them access to MENA investors to equip them with the tools and networks needed to accelerate their startup journey and achieve long-term success.

At StartUp Bahrain Pitch Series, participating startups will have the opportunity to showcase their businesses to a panel of judges. These events are organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry & Commerce, and the Labour Fund (Tamkeen). In addition to the Bahrain Economic Development Board, and Bahrain Development Bank (BDB), and StartUp Bahrain

It will conclude with the winning startup receiving a cash prize along with potential further funding and support from program partners.The participating startups in Cohort 9 are: Unlabelled, Lamma , Thoubify App , Wajba, Jaras , Sirati , Benyany, FHD Technology , Esbitar, and WeFit.
