Trump Organization
The Trump Organization and Dar Global, London-listed unit of a Saudi Arabian developer, signed a USD 1 billion deal to build a new commercial and housing development.
The project will be located in Saudi Arabia’s second largest city, Jeddah. In an interview with Bloomberg Dar Global’s Chief Executive Ziad El Chaar disclosed that the project will include a “few hundred” homes along with around 200,000 square feet of Grade A office space on Jeddah’s main highway.
Dar Global is building a Trump Tower in Jeddah set to include a hotel, luxury amenities and a members-only club. El Chaar adds that “We had very good success with the Trump Tower sales that’s why we decided to go ahead with a second project.”
Real Estate
Saudi Arabia is encouraging new development as real estate prices rise, aiming to expand supply and deliver more modern properties. Simultaneously, Saudi’s Real Estate General Authority (REGA) froze rent increases in Riyadh for the next five years.
El Chaar explained that in branded partnerships, developers typically earn fixed design fees plus sales percentages. He further explains that the project will include a Trump Plaza on King Abdulaziz Road in central Jeddah, anchored by a Central Park–style green park. It will also feature high-end serviced apartments and townhouses near office space, serving businesses that continue expanding across Saudi Arabia.
The new development is still awaiting some municipal approvals and construction is set to begin next year.
Furthermore, Dar Global plans to expand its project portfolio as Saudi Arabia prepares to open property markets. It is also developing a Trump Tower in Dubai, while branded Trump projects progress in Oman and Qatar.
