Oqood

UAE- based Oqood secured USD 1 million in a seed funding round led by a group of angel investors.

Founded by Khaled Al Rasheed, Oqood is a legal technology startup specializing in AI-powered legal solutions. Thus, its focus is to develop AI solutions for the legal sector.

“This round reflects the growing investor interest in legal technology, a sector valued at more than $31 billion in 2024 and projected to grow at an annual rate of 9.4% in the coming years,” said Khaled Al Rasheed, Founder and CEO of Oqood.

Legal Tech

Up next with the new funding, it aims to enhance its product development and further develop its AI-driven legal technology. It also aims to expand its services to more law firms and corporate legal departments. To do so, it seeks to leverage smart digital platforms aiming to streamline workflows and enhance client communication. Furthermore, it also aims to expand to more GCC and international markets in the future.

The funding highlights a steady rise in AI adoption within the region’s legal sector. As digital transformation accelerates, legaltech adoption in the GCC remains gradual but increasingly critical for operational efficiency and competitiveness.

While many firms are still testing digital solutions, momentum toward smarter and more efficient legal operations is building. Oqood’s latest funding adds to this movement, reflecting how investors are starting to view legaltech as a viable growth area in the GCC. The company’s progress could offer a glimpse into how the region’s legal industry adapts to digital transformation.
