MidLyr, raised USD 2.5 million in pre-seed funding. The round was led by Silicon Badia, with participation from Wedbush Ventures, Hustle Fund, DCG, and Story Ventures.

Founded by Egyptian-born Wael Elsahhar and Ruochen Ren, MidLyr is an  AI infrastructure platform. It aims to transform how financial institutions manage risk and operations.

“Their approach combines technical depth with a deep understanding of financial operations, and that’s what it takes to build enduring infrastructure in this space,” said Namek Zu’bi, Founder & Managing Partner at Silicon Badia

The company seeks to transform the rigid workflows and manual controls common in financial institutions. To do so, it seeks to bring intelligence and structure to these processes by aligning AI agents with regulations, policies, and operational data. Furthermore, it aims to build a new durable, compliant and adaptive foundation for how banks and fintechs operate. Through this approach, it aims to introduce a new class of bank-grade automation that financial teams can trust.

MidLyr’s mission is to give bank operators the intelligent, compliant tools they deserve — so they can serve customers better and reduce risk,”  said Wael Elsahhar, Egyptian-born CEO and Co-Founder of MidLyr.
