Weego

Moroccan–Senegalese mobility startup Weego raised USD 1.1 million in a new funding round. The round was led by early‑stage venture capital firm Azur Innovation Fund

Founded in 2020 by Saad Jittou and Mor Niane, Weego is a mobility startup. Its key offering is a mobility as a service (MAAS) app, which combines all the various transport options of a given area. It allows users to access and book rides on public transit, ride-sharing services, and other modes of transportation from one single platform. Thus, it integrates public transit options with private mobility service on one app.

“ Transportation is the primary obstacle to economic activity, and we are building the technological layer that will make infrastructure more efficient,” said Weego Co‑founder and CEO, Saad Jittou.

It also provides a staff transportation service for companies called WeegoLines. Through this service, companies can transport their employees to and from work. This aims to make employee transportation more effective, cost-efficient, and reliable.

Mobility Solutions

Looking ahead, with the new capital, it aims to accelerate its expansion across additional Moroccan cities. It also seeks to strengthen its transport solutions for corporate clients. Additionally, it aims to scale its multimodal mobility platform and prepare for expansion into markets across Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.

Furthermore, it seeks to expand its enterprise offerings and expand its presence in Morocco’s corporate landscape. This positions Weego as a digital tool integrated into urban mobility systems rather than just a consumer-facing application. It aims to add structure and visibility to fragmented transport networks through data and coordination.
