AdMazad, developer of AdMetrics, an outdoor advertising performance measurement and analytics tool, released its 5th annual market report.
Egypt’s Out-of-Home (OOH) advertising market grew sharply in 2024, increasing by 53%. According to AdMazad’s latest report, total spending reached EGP 6.3 billion, up from EGP 4.2 billion in 2023.
Out-of-Home Advertising
This surge is fueled by growing demand for eye-catching outdoor ads and the rising preference for visually engaging content. The number of advertisers utilizing OOH increased from 1,397 to 1,718, with approximately 25% of these being new entrants.
AdMazad explains the surge of Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) inventory, which doubled over the last two years. They explain that DOOH allows brands to run dynamic and data-driven campaigns that boost reach and impact. Thus, they report that the tech upgrade is transforming the outdoor ad landscape.
“In Egypt, Out-of-Home advertising has long leaned on intuition rather than insight – limiting its growth and efficiency. At AdMazad, I’ve made it our mission to change that. Through AdMetrics, we’ve given OOH a quantifiable, data-driven voice, enabling even the most sceptical multinationals to confidently integrate it into their core strategies. At the same time, we’ve helped ambitious local startups and advertisers with smaller budgets plan smarter, execute better, and deliver measurable results.” said Assem Memon, Co-founder & CEO, AdMazad
Sectors
By sector, real estate advertising led the market with an 85% increase, capturing 60% of the total share. Meanwhile, healthcare advertising saw a 40% growth in the number of advertisers. The automotive sector also experienced significant gains, with spending rising 155% and advertisers increasing by 43%. Notably, home appliances recorded the strongest growth, with expenditure soaring 243%.
High-traffic areas like the Ring Road, 6th of October, and Sheikh Zayed posted utilization rates over 90%. Meanwhile, older neighborhoods like Mohandeseen and Maadi saw lower demand, reflecting urban shifts toward Cairo’s outskirts.
In addition, total outdoor ad impressions hit 154.2 billion in 2024, up 12.5 billion from the previous year, signaling strong audience engagement.
Bottom Line: Egypt’s OOH market is expected to continue growing, supported by urbanization and changing consumer behaviors. Data-driven tools like AdMazad’s platform are helping advertisers make more informed decisions and improve campaign effectiveness.
