The investment and financial services group, AfricInvest, is looking to acquire 25% of the British University of Egypt (BUE) for more than US$323.6 million before the end of June, acording to local media reports.
The acquisition would mark AfricInvest’s first investment in Egypt’s education sector.
The acquisition would take place either through a stake sale or a capital increase, another source said, adding that the exact method is still being agreed upon.
AfricInvest was founded in the early 1990s, an investment and financial services group with focus on North Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa.
