BlueFive Capital

What happened? Global investment fund, BlueFive Capital, completed raising USD 2 billion for its BlueFive Reef Private Equity Fund I. The fund is registered with the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) and will be managed from the UAE capital.

What is the target? It will aim to target large cap GCC private equity investments. Additionally, it seeks to target majority and minority investments in sizeable high-growth businesses and conglomerates across the UAE and the GCC. It will focus on five key sectors including healthcare, technology, hospitality, aviation, and industrial. 

Furthermore, the fund aims to leverage the region’s economic growth momentum. In addition, to its growing position as the gateway to various regions and economies in the world, both East and West. 

Hazem Ben-Gacem, founder and chief executive of BlueFive Capital, said: ” The fund will play a pivotal role in expanding the private equity marketplace in the GCC and allow us to partner with exceptional founders and management teams to support establishing global leaders that are originating from the GCC.”
