Carefer raises $2.9m in a pre-Series A round

Carefer, a Saudi Arabia-based legal digital solutions company for care services and vehicle maintenance, raised $2.9 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by digital solutions company, Elm, and in collaboration with both Merced and Sarh funds.

Carefer Fleet, which contributes mostly to the administration of vehicle fleet maintenance was also launched in order to improve productivity and lower operational costs.

“Carefer is a promising opportunity to pioneer technology solutions in car maintenance and repair. We have been able to build a premium brand with great competitive partnerships in both the commercial and government sectors over the last few years. Carefer had a crucial role in resolving a problem that affected both individual car owners and businesses. We have achieved a number of strategic partnerships with various local and international companies to serve the sector, and this tour will contribute to the development of Carefer to drive the achievement of its strategic objectives, starting from attracting competencies to grow in providing our services to individual and corporate customers, and expanding the Carefer Fleet system,” Abdelmajid Elmobred, CEO of Carefer, said.

The company aims to develop vehicle care and maintenance services, and its strategic plan intends to expand its operations throughout Saudi Arabia due to the significant capacity and huge development in digital transformation processes.

The startup was founded in 2017 as a response to a need in the local digital solutions market in the vehicle maintenance sector, offering care and maintenance services to individuals and businesses through a smartphone app.
