EZZ LCV launches a new assembly line to locally manufacture for TVS Motor Company (TVSM). The new assembly line would focus on popular models of TVS Motor Company including TVS Apache RTR Series, TVS HLX Series and TVS XL 100. This new line comes with a USD 6.5 million investment and a predicted annual production capacity of 10,000 units.

Ezz LCV and TVSM
Ezz LCV is the authorized distributor of the TVS Motor Company. Thus, this new assembly line will leverage the engineering expertise of the TVSM and Ezz LCV’s focus on the Egyptian market. In addition, it will also strengthen the Ezz LCV market position in the region.
TVSM is a multinational company headquartered in India specialized in motorcycles. Ezz Elarab has signed an assembly, sales and after sale contract for 2 wheeler and three wheeler products by TVS. These products include motorcycles, rickshaws, and scooters. This milestone marks five years of partnership between TVSM and Ezz LCV. This newly launched assembly line advances their goal to localize the production of TVS vehicles.

Expanding and Localizing
With this launch they aim to advance their plan to localize the production of TVS vehicles. This is alignment with the company’s commitment to meeting the increasing market demand. In addition, they aim to improve delivery times and meet local customer needs with high quality reliable motorcycles. Furthermore, this new addition is a reflection of the increasing demand for TVS products in Egypt.

The current lineup of TVS models available in Egypt includes the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, TVS Star HLX 150, and TVS HLX 150 F. With this expansion, EZZ LCV aims to strengthen its position in the Egyptian two-wheeler market. In addition, they aim to provide a sustainable supply of affordable two-wheelers.
This news comes after the announcement of Ezz Elarab’s partnership with Elsewedy Capital to launch their locally manufactured Proton Saga car.
