French Saint-Gobain Glass Egypt, a subsidiary of the global Saint-Gobain Group, specializes in producing and supplying high-quality glass products. With a robust presence in the Egyptian market, the company has significantly contributed to both local industry and export sectors. Currently, Saint-Gobain Glass Egypt has €160 million invested in the country and exports glass products valued at €56 million annually.

During a recent meeting, Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Hassan El Khatib, and the company’s CEO, Ahmed Wafik, discussed the firm’s ongoing and upcoming projects. El Khatib emphasized the ministry’s support to bolster the company’s investments, aiming to meet domestic market demands and enhance export capabilities.

Wafik outlined ambitious plans to invest €300 million by 2026, which include establishing new factories. Notably, the company is setting up a €175 million flat glass manufacturing plant in Ain Sokhna, expected to commence operations in 2026.

This expansion highlights Saint-Gobain Glass Egypt’s commitment to growing its footprint in Egypt and contributing to the regional glass industry.
