Gemini Africa will kick off Uplift For Gouna Film Festival as the first regional initiative of its kind to bridge between entrepreneurs and the entertainment industry. The UpliftForGFF initiative will launch online this week in collaboration with El-Gouna Film Festival catering to startups and creatives who have innovative ideas that can alter showbusiness and the entertainment industry but are unable to find an entry point or the right opportunities.
UpliftForGFF will support startups in the entertainment industry by giving them the right exposure, business access, mentorship and partnership opportunities. Eng. Adly Wagih Thoma, Executive Chairman and CEO of Gemini Africa stated: “The launch of Uplift4GFF dawns from our belief in the resilience of the Gemini Africa community and our aspiration to untap diversified business opportunities that would unleash their creative ideas.

The primary pitching event will take place as part of El Gouna Film Festival agenda, and will feature promising startups that can impact the entertainment industry and facilitate its diverse processes. Gemini Africa will provide eligible startups with prior trainings and personalized advice to prepare them to pitch in front of investors, filmmakers and industry giants.
Joining the UpliftForGFF will not only avail unparalleled exposure and industry multiple entry-points to the startups but will also offer partnership opportunities within the field and with potential investors, relevant coaching by industry experts, in addition to a chance to pitch in a second private event tailored for the qualified winners.
