Kammelna
Saudi-based venture capital and asset management firm, Impact46, announced committing, approximately USD 53 million (SAR 200M) to back Kammelna, a Saudi gaming studio.
“Kammelna delivers on every front — loyal users, high retention, smart monetization, and cultural equity. This deal is a turning point not just for Saudi gaming, but for what it means to invest in culturally grounded, scalable IP,” said Abdulaziz Al Omran, Impact46 Founder and CEO.
Founded in Dammam, Kammelna is best known for bringing a card game called Baloot to mobile screens. It has since been downloaded over 6 million times and has over 1 million monthly active users. Furthermore, with the new partnership it aims to accelerate its ambitions.
“Our cultural games deserve world-class digital experiences. Partnering with Impact46 marks an exciting new chapter for us to expand our reach and create even more games that carry the spirit of our culture to players everywhere,” said Kammelna’s CEO Bader Al Zamil.
Gaming
The deal was announced on August 23, 2025 during the New Global Sports Conference (NGSC25). This is a gaming-focused event held alongside the Esports World Cup in Riyadh.
This deal is a reflection of Saudi’s commitment to gaming and entertainment under Vision 2030. This is spearheaded by HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman through the National Gaming and Esports Strategy. Moreover, this sector is emerging as an important pillar of the Kingdom’s diversification agenda.
Impact46 and Kammelna both indicate that the deal reflects Saudi talent and capital coming together to foster this emerging industry.
