Kuwait’s Kamco Invest and TechInvest are planning to launch a new fund called The JEDI Opportunity Fund to invest in startups.
In an interview with Zawya Arabic on the sidelines of MoneyTech Summit 2025, the CEO of TechInvest Fahad AlSharekh disclosed that the fund is the second collaboration between the two companies.
Around four years ago, the two firms launched a USD 45 million JEDI Fund. This fund invests in startups and focuses on US-based technology startups, primarily in Silicon Valley.
The CEO also discloses that the new is expected to be capitalized between USD 100 million an dUSD 150 million. Furthermore, this fund will also invest in a group of companies in the portfolio of the first fund. These startups will be selected based on their performance. Moreover, according to Zawya, the CEO did not disclose a launch date for the new fund.

Founded by Fahad AlSharekh and Walid Kamhawi, TechInvest is an investment consultancy firm. The firm provides services through alliances with asset management firms.
The JEDI Opportunity Fund marks the next phase in Kamco Invest and TechInvest’s long-standing partnership. Its success will depend on how effectively it backs proven startups amid rapidly shifting global tech trends.
