What happened? Lottery.com announced its planned acquisition of UAE’s Nook Holdings Limited, a sports, health and wellness incubator.
Who are they? Founded by Ravi Bhusari, Nook is a co-working space and platform for sport and wellness based in Dubai. It helps sports, fitness and wellness entrepreneurs through offering commercial licensing and space in a collaborative working environment. Furthermore, it offers support to startups and small businesses to establish operations, obtain licenses, and register for VAT.
The Lottery.com Inc. includes a family of brands including Sports.com, Tinbu and WinTogether. It is a unified ecosystem that integrates gaming, entertainment and sports.
Acquisition
What is the deal? The acquisition is valued at approximately USD 2.5 million and is an all cash deal. Upon completing the acquisition, Lottery.com will control 90% of Nook. Furthermore, the deal is expected to close on or before June 30, 2025.
After the acquisition, the company aims to operate segments of its international sports business from within the Nook premises at One JLT. Additionally, it aims to transform the space into one for sports innovation, investment and integration. Thus, the space will operate as both a premium co-working space and a business early stage incubator. Moreover, it aims to connect early stage sport businesses with the broader Sports.com ecosystem
