  • Masna Ventures launched a USD 100M fund to invest in Saudi Arabia’s defense sector and accelerate local manufacturing capabilities and deployment.
  • The fund targets private Saudi firms adapting proven U.S. technologies, alongside opportunities across aerospace, AI, logistics, and industrial supply chains.
  • The strategy supports Vision 2030’s goal to localize 50% of defense spending and strengthen the Kingdom’s domestic defense ecosystem long-term.

MASNA Ventures today launched MASNA Ventures Fund I, valued at approximately USD 100 million( SAR 375M). It is a venture capital fund with a focus on the Saudi’s defense 

sector.

It will target newly established Saudi companies created by the private sector that harness technologies from the United States to manufacture locally in Saudi Arabia. It aims to enable these in-demand systems to move faster from deployment to scale in the Kingdom. It also seeks to target other investment opportunities within the defense ecosystem as they emerge.

The fund also anticipates emerging opportunities across adjacent defense and industrial categories. This includes supply chain, procurement and logistics, defense and aerospace MRO/services, opportunities in AI, and broader manufacturing equity investment positions in the ecosystem.

Co-founded and led by Lucien Zeigler and Nehal Farooqui, Masna Ventures is a Saudi-based venture capital firm with a focus on the defense sector. It seeks to accelerate the deployment and sale of proven, in-demand systems and local manufacturing capabilities.

The VC seeks to support and boost Saudi Arabia’s localization goals in the defense sector. This is in alignment with Vision 2030 goals to increase localized defense production to 50%.
