Funding Boost for Z’s Vision
Morocco-based B2B marketplace Z.systems , transforming Africa’s retail ecosystem, ha closed a USD 1 million seed funding round, according to media reports.
Led by Morocco-based VCs — MNF Ventures, Witamax, Cash Plus Ventures, and Kalys Ventures — the investment will help Z modernize Morocco’s traditional retail sector. The deal is awaiting approval from the Morocco Competition Council.
Addressing Retail Challenges in Africa
Africa’s traditional retail sector faces numerous challenges, including fragmented supply chains and inefficiencies.
Z aims to bridge this gap by empowering over 15,000 active retailers with direct access to consumers. Since its 2022 launch, Z has captured around 85% of Greater Casablanca’s addressable market and processed over 800,000 orders with a 95% positive feedback rate.
