What is happening? Nama Ventures received formal approval from the Capital Market Authority (CMA) to commence its investment management operations in the Kingdom.
This approval comes after the firm’s decision to relocate its regulatory base to Saudi Arabia in addition to its base in the Cayman Islands.
After the issuance of the CMA commencement letter, the venture capital firm successfully completed all regulatory requirements. Thus, it is now licensed to operate as a Saudi-based investment firm.

What’s next? The firm aims to continue the launch of its flagship funds, alongside a suite of Shariah-compliant vertical investment vehicles. This is in order to target high-growth startups across Saudi Arabia, the MENA region, and selected international markets.
It also expects to deepen its engagement with institutional and sovereign investors. in addition, it aims to enhance its value to founders through founder-first value add capital.
