Saudi-based COGNNA secured USD 9.2 million in a Series A funding round. The round was led by Impact46, co-led by BNVT Capital, and with participation from Vision Ventures, and tali ventures.
Founded in 2022 byIbrahim Alshamrani and COGNNA is an AI-led cybersecurity startup. It seeks to deliver proactive, scalable, and cost-effective security operations for enterprises and SMEs. It combines advanced AI automation with human expertise to help organizations simplify compliance, improve resilience, and scale security in line with business growth.
Cybersecurity
Looking forward, with the new funding, it aims to accelerate its global scale-up across product, sales, and operations. It also plans to enhance its AI capabilities, expand across the MENA and global markets. Additionally, it aims to grow its engineering and SOC operations teams to meet rising demand for scalable, intelligent cybersecurity solutions.
“Through our AI-led platform, we’re building an Agentic SOC that doesn’t just respond to threats, it anticipates them. This funding allows us to accelerate our R&D in AI and automation, scale globally, and continue delivering security that learns, adapts, and protects in real time,” said Ziyad AlSheri, CTO of COGNNA.
In addition, it aims to direct its funding towards four areas including:
- Product Development: It aims to advance AI automation and platform scalability.
- Sales and Marketing: It seeks to strengthen its presence across the MENA and entering the global market
- .Team Expansion: It plans to hire talent to support growth.
- Operations: It aims to build infrastructure for global scalability and resilience.
