  • Saudi geospatial data firm GBT raised USD 1.33M pre-seed, backed by Al Zamil’s investment company and angel investors.
  • Founded in 2024 by Yousef AlNafjan, GBT operates through Penta-KSA and Penta-Labs, targeting spatial data accessibility.
  • The funding will support infrastructure upgrades, team expansion, and new GeoAI and Digital Twin products for Saudi smart cities.

Saudi-based geospatial data company, GulfBoost for Telecommunications and Information Technology (GBT), raised USD 1.33 million in a pre-seed investment round. The round saw participation from Abdulaziz Abdullah Al Zamil & Sons Investment Company alongside angel investors. In addition, the round was managed by SHORE Advisory Services.

“Our bet on GBT stems from its robust business model and its ability to fill a real gap in the Deep Tech and spatial data market, a vital sector for the Kingdom’s digital economy,” said Walid Nassar, Managing Director of SHORE Advisory Services.

Geospatial Technology 

Founded in 2024 by Yousef AlNafjan, GBT is a geospatial data company. It focuses on developing advanced geospatial technology solutions through its subsidiaries, Penta-KSA and Penta-Labs. The company aims to build a technology ecosystem that empowers data-driven decision-making through advanced geospatial solutions.

 Penta-KSA provides No-Code software suites that intend to make spatial data accessible to non-specialists. This aims to empower decision-makers to break down data silos and maximize ROI. Meanwhile, Penta-Labs is its deep-tech innovation arm, developing specialized solutions powered by GeoAI and Digital Twins for smart cities.
