  • Strataphy raised USD 6M from Outliers VC, Shorooq, and PlusVC to scale its subsurface-powered cooling tech across MENA’s fast-growing infrastructure.
  • The startup plans to expand its tech stack and teams to support deployments across giga-projects, industrial sites, and hyperscale data centers.
  • Its PrimeLoop platform and Cooling-as-a-Service model cut energy use and costs, offering a scalable solution for rising AI and industrial cooling demand.

Strataphy

Saudi-based deep-tech startup, Strataphy, raised USD 6 million in a seed funding round. The round was led by  Outliers VC and Shorooq, with participation from PlusVC.

Looking forward, with the new funding, it aims to advance its technology and expand its full-service stack. It also aims to grow its engineering and operations teams. This is to support new deployments across giga-projects, industrial facilities, and hyperscale data centers in MENA and beyond.

“Our mission is to build the backbone for next-generation cooling, scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient. This investment will accelerate our technology, expand our team, and enable us to meet the surging demand across the region and beyond,” said Dr. Ammar Alali, co-founder and CEO of Strataphy

Cooling AI Infrastructure

Founded by Dr. Ammar Alali and Ahmed Alhani,  Strataphy is a deep-tech startup specializing in subsurface-powered cooling for large-scale infrastructure. It develops and operates geothermal cooling systems that reduce energy consumption and cost for data centers, giga-projects, and cities. Furthermore, its Cooling-as-a-Service model allows clients to adopt the technology with no upfront investment.

Its Cooling-as-a-Service model shifts geothermal cooling from a capital expense to a predictable operating cost. It aims to allow organizations to deploy advanced systems with minimal upfront investment. This is while seeking to reduce long-term energy consumption and improve reliability.

The startup’s platform is powered by its PrimeLoop™ subsurface technology. It leverages deep, stable thermal energy to cool infrastructure with drastically lower power requirements. Thus, it enables industrial and commercial facilities, including data centers, to cut energy intensity, reduce operating costs, and meet surging cooling demand.
