The SHE LEADS initiative, organized by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation (FNF) in collaboration with the International Federation of Liberal Youth (IFLRY), recently gathered 12 female entrepreneurs in the MENA region. The three-day workshop aimed to equip women with critical business skills and connect them to a robust entrepreneurial network.

The program featured various mentorship opportunities, expert-led workshops, and practical sessions designed to foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing.

The workshop included business introductions, a SWOT analysis, and a field visit to a successful startup, providing practical insights. The program also featured expert mentorship and knowledge sharing between women entrepreneurs locally and internationally.

Tunisian Entrepreneurs Make an Impact

Two Tunisian founders took part in the workshop, building on their experience in the ImpactHER program, which supports women entrepreneurs with mentorship and global connections.

The founders shared their experiences, presented their business models, and participated in key sessions focused on resilience in challenging environments. A field visit to a local startup provided additional insights into best practices for scaling businesses and overcoming operational hurdles.

SHE LEADS Drives Long-Term Growth

The workshop concluded with participants creating individual action plans, setting both short- and long-term business goals. The participants emphasized how such initiatives drive sustainable growth for women-led enterprises across the MENA region.

The final day emphasized future planning, allowing participants to set actionable goals. They developed individual business strategies based on the knowledge gained, ensuring long-term growth.

A Step Toward Gender Equality

The SHE LEADS initiative aligns with government policies promoting economic participation and gender equality in the MENA region. By fostering entrepreneurship and creating international networks, the program plays a vital role in regional economic growth. Additionally, the inclusion of women in such leadership roles contributes to closing the gender gap, reinforcing global trends towards gender parity and inclusion.
