UAE’s Armoir, a luxury luggage company, raised USD 500 thousand in a seed funding round. The round was led by Salica Oryx Fund, with participation from Plus VC and angel investors. The funding process was also supported by Dopamine, who acts as an advisor and long-term partner to the company.

Founded in 2024 by Martial Dahan, Armoir is a luxury luggage company offering premium luggage inspired by the heritage of classic travel trunks. It aims to address a gap in the premium luggage market by delivering luxury-quality products at more accessible price points. Furthermore, it aims to combine both style and function.

“They are solving the long-standing pain point of cumbersome, inefficient luggage with premium designs inspired by classic travel trunks, blending sleek style, luxury materials, and smart compartmentalization to transform the travel experience.”

Up next with the new funding, it aims to launch additional collections and expand its footprint across MENA and Europe. Additionally, it aims to scale its team to strengthen design innovation, customer experience, and global growth.

Armoir aims to capture the premium luggage market, projected to reach USD 75 billion by 2031. The company points to Gen Z and Millennial consumers currently the fastest-growing luxury segment, as the main drivers of this demand. With its design-focused luggage brand, it positions itself to meet their expectations for both style and function.

“We were drawn to their ability to blend timeless design with real functional innovation, creating a product that feels both aspirational and practical. In MENA, a new generation of direct-to-consumer brands is emerging with the ability to scale globally and Armoir represents this shift,” said Ali Qaiser, Partner at Salica Oryx Fund.
