So what is happening? STC’s Tali Ventures and Aramco’s Wa’ed Ventures co-led a USD 19 million series B funding round for US-based startup, Graphiant.

Who are they? AI workloads demand lightning-fast, secure connections, and NaaS startup Graphiant aims to deliver just that. Furthermore, it aims to provide cloud-native, scalable networks designed for hybrid and multi-cloud setups. It also provides sovereignty controls that keep traffic inside approved jurisdictions.

What’s next? With its Riyadh HQ operational, Graphiaant aims to collaborate with energy, fintech, smart manufacturing, and e-government sectors. In addition, Graphian will work with stc Group on localization, skills development, and new infrastructure initiatives.

Beyond Funding The investors are bringing in more than just cash. Tali Ventures is bringing access to stc’s government and enterprise and customer network. In addition, both bring operational support to grow Saudi talent and localize advanced networking tech.

Why does this matter? The global NaaS market is booming, forecast to top USD 92 billion by 2030.  With Graphiant establishing a presence in Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom is advancing its digital infrastructure ambitions. For investors, this means access to MENA’s growing cloud market. For businesses, it offers a move away from outdated networks toward more flexible, on-demand connectivity.

Bottom line: With Wa’ed, Tali, and Graphiant involved, Saudi Arabia is taking concrete steps toward building AI-ready connectivity infrastructure.
