Americana to invest $26m in new food production lines in Egypt

Americana Group, one of the largest food companies and operators of restaurant chains in the Middle East, plans to invest $26 million by launching new production lines, according to a cabinet statement.

Chairman of the General Authority for Free Zones and Investment (GAFI) Mohamed Abdel Wahab met with Ihab Hajjaj, the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Americana Group, to discuss the group’s plans to expand in the Egyptian market.

Through this step, the group aims to increase its presence in the food industries sector in Egypt along with targeting new markets to export its products.

Americana Group is the parent company that runs restaurant chains in MENA such as Pizza Hut, KFC, and Hardees among others.
