Oman’s Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion will launch its Golden Residency program for investors on August 31, 2025. This is a move intended to attract foreign capital, boost economic growth and position the country’s business hub. Additionally, it is in alignment with Oman’s Vision 2040 to diversify its economy. 

The ministry will unveil the residency program alongside the “Mujeedah Companies” initiative for high performing firms. It will also unveil a service to transfer commercial registration ownership through electronic authentication on the Invest Oman platform.

These announcements will take place at an event titled “Sustainable Business Environment.” It will be hosted at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Recreation in Salalah. Moreover, the event is organized by the Ministry under the patronage of Dhofar Gov. Sayyid Marwan bin Turki Al-Said.

Investment Hub

The “Mujeedah Companies” initiative will enable high-performing Omani companies to grow and expand locally and globally.  This is through a comprehensive package of incentives and facilitations. Moreover, this is to enhance their competitiveness, and accelerate digital transformation in various commercial transactions. The aim is to raise efficiency and transparency levels.

Additionally, the service for transferring commercial registration ownership via electronic authentication is a step towards digitizing all business transactions. This aims to reduce time and cost for investors thus ensuring efficiency.

Ultimately, these services all aim to strengthen Oman’s position as a global investment destination. This is through providing a stable and attractive business environment offering investors quality opportunities for long-term growth and stability.
