Moroccan based Done.ma raised a USD 2.1 million seed round backed by local and business angel investors. This is to build a Moroccan super app beyond food delivery.

“From the beginning, our ambition was to build a super app that simplifies people’s lives and shows that Morocco can produce tech solutions competitive at an international level,” said Done’s founder Mohamed El Ghaissani .

This is in alignment with Morocco’s national digital transformation strategy. The strategy aims to accelerate socioeconomic development by ensuring inclusive access to essential digital services by 2030.

Super App

Founded in 2024 by Mohamed El Ghaissani. Done.ma is a super-app delivering a unified mobile experience. It combines food delivery, e-commerce, quick commerce, urban mobility, and digital financial services. It is developing a hyperlocal model designed specifically for Moroccan and African consumers.

It currently operates across 8 regions in Morocco with over 90 team members. It also has over 1 thousand retail and restaurant partners and 500 delivery ambassadors.

Up next with the funding, its main aim is to build  what it calls a homegrown Super App. It also aims to expand into additional major Moroccan cities, strengthen its logistics and infrastructure. It also aims to grow its product portfolio across quick commerce, marketplace,, BNPL and its Done Stores. Additionally, it aims to drive digital inclusion through jobs, services & accessibility.

This comes at a time when the Super App market in MENA & Africa is projected to exceed USD 30 billion by 2030. Thus, it aims to leverage this momentum to position Morocco as a hub of tech in Africa.
