Emergent

US-based Emergent raised USD 23 million in a Series A funding round led by Lightspeed

Founded in 2025 in San Francisco by Mukund Jha and Madhav Jha, Emergent is an AI-powered agentic coding platform. It provides a platform for building full-stack, production-ready applications using autonomous AI agents.

Up next, with the funding, it aims to accelerate its expansion into high-growth regions including the Middle East. This is because regional governments are investing heavily in digital transformation and SME empowerment under initiatives like UAE Vision 2030 and Saudi Vision 2030. Furthermore, it aims to foster innovation for entrepreneurs, creators, and enterprises across MENA and Asia.

In regions like MENA, where governments are driving digital-first economies and SMEs form the backbone of growth, we see a tremendous opportunity. Our platform ensures that innovation is no longer limited to software engineers, it belongs to everyone,” said Mukund Jha, Emergent Co-founder and CEO.

Agentic Coding

Emergent is an AI-powered “no-code meets full-stack” platform where autonomous agents build, test, and scale applications automatically for anyone. It delivers an “App in a Button” experience, collapsing the complexity of software development into simple tools. Behind the scenes, specialized AI agents handle coding, servers, logins, payments, and scaling, ensuring software creation is faster, more reliable, and widely accessible.

“For decades, the biggest barrier to innovation has been access to technical talent and capital. We designed Emergent to remove those barriers so that anyone, from a shopkeeper to a startup founder, can bring their vision to life at a fraction of the time and cost,” said Mukund Jha, Emergent Co-founder and CEO.
