Startup20 Summit
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will participate in the G20 Startup20 Summit. The summit will take place in Johannesburg, South Africa, on November 13 and 14, 2025.
The G20 is a global platform for economic cooperation, bringing together 19 countries, the African Union, and the European Union. In 2025, South Africa assumes the G20 Presidency, marking a pivotal moment for the continent.
Launched in 2023, Startup20 is the global entrepreneurship forum for G20. It was first launched under India’s presidency and continues under South Africa’s leadership.
It serves as a global forum for startups and MSME ecosystem stakeholders to engage directly with G20 leaders. Furthermore, it raises key challenges, opportunities, and macroeconomic concerns faced by entrepreneurs.
Entrepreneurship
The delegation will be led by Prince Fahd bin Mansour bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, who is the chairman of the G20 startups. Moreover, the delegation will consist of representatives from various government entities, and the private and non-profit sectors, including entrepreneurs and investors. Additionally, the event’s sponsor is NEOM, a major sponsor and advocate for startup participation.
Its goal is to showcase Saudi Arabia’s innovative approaches to developing the entrepreneurship ecosystem. It also aims to explore collaboration opportunities with international partners to enhance global startup investments.
This participation aims to highlight national initiatives that foster a thriving economy based on innovation and technology. It also aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to support innovation and diversify the economy.
