UAE’s CNTXT AI Raises USD 60M to Scale Sovereign AI Globally

The race to build AI is shifting from experimentation to deployment, and CNTXT AI has secured fresh capital to capitalize on that transition.

Dubai-based CNTXT AI secured USD 60 million in a Series A funding round co-led by AI71 and BlueFive Capital. The company plans to use the funding to accelerate product development and enter new markets. It also aims to expand the deployment of sovereign AI infrastructure for enterprise and government customers globally.

The UAE-based AI company will use the fresh capital to expand internationally, develop new products, and deploy sovereign AI infrastructure for governments and enterprises seeking greater control over their data.

Why You Should Care

As governments and enterprises increasingly adopt AI, concerns around data privacy, regulatory compliance, and digital sovereignty are becoming central to deployment decisions. CNTXT AI is positioning itself at the intersection of these priorities by helping organizations build and operate AI systems while retaining full control over their data.

The funding also signals growing investor confidence in the Gulf’s emerging role as a global hub for AI infrastructure and applied AI development.

Founded by Mohammad Abu Sheikh, CNTXT AI is a UAE-based data and AI company. It focuses on enabling companies and institutions to develop AI solutions while maintaining full sovereignty over their data. It provides training data through labeling and annotation for AI labs, enterprise data teams, and robotics applications, combining automation with human expertise.

Looking ahead, with the funding, it aims to support product development and expansion into new markets. It also seeks to enable global deployment of secure AI infrastructure for enterprise and public-sector environments.

Among its flagship products is Munsit, an Arabic voice AI platform that has processed more than one million minutes of speech. The company also offers TestAI, a solution designed to evaluate AI performance and reliability before deployment.

The round reflects increasing demand for sovereign AI solutions as organizations seek alternatives to AI models that require sensitive data to leave national or institutional boundaries.

For investors, the deal highlights a growing opportunity within AI infrastructure, a segment attracting attention alongside foundation models and consumer AI applications. For the UAE, it reinforces the country’s ambition to become a leading destination for AI innovation, development, and deployment.

What to Watch

CNTXT AI’s next phase will center on translating funding into global expansion and large-scale deployments.

“This funding strengthens our ability to build the sovereign infrastructure and talent needed to deploy AI at scale. Our focus has always been on making AI work in the real world, under the most demanding conditions,” said Mohammad Abu Sheikh, Founder and CEO of CNTXT AI.

As governments and enterprises move from pilot projects to production environments, the company’s ability to deliver secure, compliant AI systems across markets could become a key test of whether sovereign AI evolves from a regional priority into a global standard.
