  • Abu Dhabi-based G42 receives White House approval to export advanced AI chips, moving UAE–US AI corridor from planning to deployment.
  • The collaboration supports Stargate UAE, a 1-gigawatt AI cluster, and strengthens partnerships with US hyperscalers and leading chipmakers.
  • Advanced chip deployment follows a joint US–UAE framework, ensuring secure global use under G42’s Regulated Technology Environment and BIS guidelines.

G42

Abu-Dhabi based technology group, G42 received authorization from the White House to export advanced AI semiconductors. This marks a transition from planning to deployment within the UAE–US AI corridor. Additionally, this collaboration reflects the strength of bilateral trust and a shared commitment to secure, scalable AI infrastructure.

“Our shared infrastructure model sets a new benchmark for secure, high-performance computing that is designed to serve the needs of both nations. What we build in the UAE, we will continue to match in the US, maintaining symmetry and trust at every layer,” said Peng Xiao, Group CEO of G42.

This move aims to accelerate foundational projects already underway in the UAE. This includes Stargate UAE, the 1-gigawatt AI compute cluster being built by G42 for OpenAI in partnership with Oracle, Cisco, NVIDIA, and SoftBank Group. It also aims to support the expansion of technology collaborations. This is with US hyperscalers and chipmakers, including Microsoft, AMD, Qualcomm, Cerebras, and others.

US-UAE Corridor

The licensing of advanced chips builds on a joint US–UAE framework for managing advanced AI chips. This aims to ensure the secure global diffusion of American technology while supporting G42’s deployment.

Their deployment will be governed by the Regulated Technology Environment (RTE), a technology and compliance framework pioneered by G42. Additionally, it was approved under US Department of Commerce and Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) guidelines.

So far, the UAE remains the only nation in the region to have undertaken this scale of infrastructure development. This is in alignment with US regulatory frameworks, export controls, and governance protocols.
