EFG Hermes

EFG Hermes, an EFG Holding company and investment bank, announced that its asset management arm launched five mutual funds on the EFG Hermes ONE app.

The launch seeks to broaden investment choices and streamlines the investing journey through a single platform. It does so, through expert-led managed funds spanning multiple risk profiles to help users assess opportunities more quickly and confidently.

The app aims to consolidate access and decision making on one platform. This is through removing the complexity that traditionally slows down investors. Thus, it aims to improve convenience and accessibility for a broader base of users.

Five Funds

These five funds intend to give investors a more straightforward, more seamless way to allocate their investments through the EFG Hermes ONE app. This is whether the investors are day-to-day liquidity, income generation, portfolio diversification, hedging considerations or long-term growth.

These funds include:

  • Money Market Fund (EFG Hermes MM): A low-risk entry point offering daily liquidity and competitive short-term yields, suited for cash management needs.
  • USD Fixed Income Fund (EFG Hermes FI USD): A dollar-denominated fund focused on preserving and growing wealth in USD assets, with exposure to instruments such as Egyptian Eurobonds.
  • Gold Fund (EFG Hermes GLD):Provides liquid exposure to gold as a hedge against economic uncertainty, without the operational burdens of physical ownership.
  • Equity Fund (EFG Hermes EQ): Actively managed portfolio on the Egyptian Exchange, targeting long-term capital appreciation through diversified equity exposure.
  • Islamic Equity Fund (EFG Hermes EQ – Shariah): Offers Shariah-compliant exposure to Egyptian listed equities, targeting long-term growth through active stock selection.

Investment

The ONE app aims to widen access to investing through a simple and intuitive experience. The platform lowers financial barriers and promotes inclusion by enabling more individuals to participate in Egypt’s capital markets. It brings a broader base of investors to the Egyptian Exchange and supports overall economic growth. The app provides real-time data and customizable watchlists for stocks and portfolios, positioning itself as a comprehensive investment tool. Ultimately, it helps users access opportunities more easily and grow their wealth through informed decisions.

“By making these funds available through EFG Hermes ONE, our trusted, award-winning digital investment platform, we’re giving more people a straightforward way to access institutional-quality investment solutions. Our goal is to empower investors with options that cater to a broad spectrum of risk appetites without requiring a large starting amount, so anyone can begin with an amount that fits their means,”

Karim Zaafan, Managing Director at EFG Hermes Asset Management
