Since its inception in 2019, the programme has successfully executed 18 financings in both Seed and Series A stages, reaching an impressive cumulative total of 97 million dirhams.

Crealo, the copyright-management platform headquartered in Morocco,  secured $1.42 million in Seed funding, according to a company statement.

The investment comes from the 212Founders programme, operated by CDG Invest, along with contributions from Kima Ventures, Evolem, Super Capital, and angel investors.

This burgeoning startup specializes in the management and payment of copyright royalties and recently concluded its first seed funding round. 

Notable participants in the funding round include Kima Ventures, Evolem, Super Capital, and select business angels, resulting in a total funding of 14.1 million dirhams. CDG Invest contributed a substantial 4.9 million dirhams to this infusion of capital.

This investment marks a pivotal moment for Crealo, reinforcing its position as a leading solution in copyright management.

 The funds will play a crucial role in enhancing Crealo’s product quality, fostering new partnerships, and expanding its workforce, propelling its growth trajectory.

The 212Founders programme has been instrumental in promoting entrepreneurship and advancing economic sophistication in Morocco since its establishment in 2019. 

With 18 successful financings in Seed and Series A stages, the programme has cumulatively reached an impressive total of 97 million dirhams.

Established in 2021, Crealo is the first European solution dedicated to comprehensively addressing copyright issues across various sectors of cultural and creative industries. 

Boasting a prestigious client base including Palais de Tokyo, L’Équipe, Beaux-Arts Magazine, and the Muséum national d’histoire naturelle, Crealo’s platform is tailored for organizations of varying sizes. It provides a sophisticated and user-friendly system that streamlines and automates the entire process of copyright royalty management in France.

Crealo’s innovative approach allows publishing houses to calculate and disburse royalties with unprecedented ease and efficiency. Several clients have already benefited from transitioning to more frequent royalty settlements, reflecting the platform’s effectiveness.
