Oracle is investing $1.5 billion in Saudi Arabia

Oracle plans to invest $1.5 billion in Saudi Arabia it aims to build its cloud footprint in Saudi Arabia and opens its third public cloud region in Riyadh.

The Riyadh Cloud Region will be Oracle’s third in the kingdom. In 2020, Oracle opened its first cloud region in Jeddah. A cloud region is a geographic area in which a cloud data center is located.

The investment is part of an agreement signed by Saudi’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and Oracle last year.
