Yalla Plus, a startup based in Riyadh, has closed its seed investment round, raising 10 million SAR ($2.7 million). The round was led by Merak Capital, with contributions from Khwarizmi Ventures, Isometry Capital, and angel investors from the Middle East and the United States.

Founded in 2022 by serial tech entrepreneur Abdullah Alrabeh and venture capitalist Bader Alnasser, The company is designed to be the technical enabler for the hospitality and restaurant sectors. The company offers a comprehensive tech platform for restaurants and cafes, including an integrated POS system that handles payment management, customer feedback, and delivery solutions.

The platform provides detailed data analytics to improve operational efficiency and performance. Currently, it serves thousands of entrepreneurs across 11 countries and has set a goal to reach 100,000 entrepreneurs in 50 countries throughout the Middle East, Europe, and Southeast Asia.

Co-Founder and CEO Abdullah Alrabeh emphasized that Yalla Plus was created to empower entrepreneurs in the hospitality industry, drawing inspiration from the innovative environment fostered by Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. He noted their commitment to growth by developing robust software that supports the expansion of entrepreneurs and businesses globally.

The company is focused on attracting top talent from Saudi Arabia and around the world to build a major tech powerhouse that will serve 100,000 entrepreneurs over the next five years.
