UK Prime Minister lifts remaining COVID restrictions

British Prime Minister drops COVID-19 isolation requirements as part of the “living with COVID” plan on Thursday. Starting 1 April the provision of free mass testing will be targeted to only the most vulnerable.

This announcement came just one day after Queen Elizabeth had tested positive for COVID.

“COVID will not suddenly disappear. So those who would wait for a total end to this war before lifting the remaining regulations would be restricting the liberties of the British people for a long time to come,” Johnson told Parliament on Monday.

This makes Britain one of the first major European countries to allow people infected with COVID-19 to freely use shops, public transport and go to work.
