In a unique and unprecedented move, Boardy AI raises USD 8 million in a seed funding round without human intervention. This comes three months after securing USD 3 million in a pre-seed funding round. The funding was led by Creandum, a venture capital firm, who previously supported Spotify and Klarna. Additionally, investors such as Andy Dunn, Leah Solivan and Andrew Yeung joined the round in support of the startup’s vision.

Boardy AI

Founded by Andrew D’Souza, Boardy AI is a startup focused on AI-driven networking agents. The company users interact briefly with an AI agent which then recommends and connects them with individuals it deems valuable for collaboration.

Andrew D’Souza, founder of Boardy AI emphasized the uniqueness of this funding stating that  “Investors spoke directly with the AI before reaching out to me or anyone on the team.”   He emphasizes that the product generated organic interest because of the investors’ first hand experience with it. Thus, demonstrating its potential value to the investors.

Transforming Funding

Veering from tradition, most of the negotiations occurred directly with Boardy’s AI. In fact the investors did not attend a formal pitch meeting or enter discussions with the startup’s founding team.

This signifies a transformation in how startups approach fundraising and relationship building. The utilization of AI can pave the way to eliminate traditional barriers such as personal introduction, networking and presentations. This creates room for the prioritization of efficiency and innovation.

With the new funding, Boardy AI aims to expand its operations and  attempt to revolutionize how individuals and businesses build connections. They aim to build a future where AI is not just an assistant but takes charge of important business processes.
