Barakah, KSA’s food delivery startup, raises $300K in a pre-seed round

Barakah, a Saudi Arabia-based food delivery platform, raises $300k in a pre-seed round.

It was secured from Alriyadah Investments, KSA’s real estate and energy development fund that develops several commercial, industrial and residential projects inside and outside of the MENA region.

Barakah App, which was launched exactly 4 days ago, can now kickstart their goal of combating food waste through this fund.

The application, which operates in real-time, offers a surplus management system for businesses operating in the food service industry, where interested costumers can buy these unsold meals with discounted prices through Barakah.

Through Linkedin, the startup explained that their strategy for the coming period is growth to achieve their desired social impact in the area of food waste.
