– Founded in 2019 by Mustafa Salam, Corrsy aims to address educational challenges in Iraq and the broader SWANA region, using the funds to expand its market presence and enhance its app, which integrates gamification, storytelling, and micro-learning.

The investment round was led by EQIQ, a regional venture capital firm specializing in emerging markets and founded by Mohamed Al-Hakim.
Investors include Finnish EdTech angel investor Risto Vahanen, the UK-based SuperChargers Ventures EdTech accelerator, Durubi Management Holding Company founded by Yousef Durubi, Jordanian angel investor Adel Qahwaji, and Finnish investor Pekka Hermonen.
Founded in 2019 by Mustafa Salam, Corrsy is dedicated to addressing educational challenges in Iraq and the broader SWANA region.
Mustafa’s vision for Corrsy was shaped by his personal experiences during the Iraq armed conflict, where he faced significant hardships, including the loss of his father and displacement. His mission is to leverage technology to create a positive impact on education and society.
Since its inception, Corrsy has made significant strides in the EdTech space. In 2022, the company launched its first product, the Corrsy app, which has been downloaded over 500,000 times by students in Iraq.
