In an interview with Asharq Business, Edita’s CEO and Managing Director, Hany Barzy, explained that the local investment will cover half of the remaining land at Edita’s Polaris Industrial Zone factory in 6th of October City, west of Cairo. Additionally, the company is equipping another recently acquired factory to boost production.

Expansion

Beyond Egypt, Edita is eyeing growth in Iraq and Morocco. In Iraq, the company plans to add a new production line at a recently acquired factory. This factory is expected to be operational by the end of 2026. Meanwhile, in Morocco, Edita is exploring opportunities to install additional production lines to serve both local and regional markets.

The CEO also notes that the company is monitoring expansion opportunities across Egypt and the wider MENA region. These moves align with Edita’s broader strategy to increase regional exports.
