These 10 MENA startups raised more than $340 million in August! With BNPL players Tabby and Tamara raising $250 million on their own. UAE’s tabby raised $150 million in a debt financing round and Saudi’s Tamara raised $100 million in a Series B round.

ArabyAds and Homzart also raised impressive sums of funds. UAE’s AdTech raised $30 million in a pre-Series B funding round. Egypt’s e-commerce platform specializing in furniture and home goods raised $23 million in a pre-series B round.

UAE-based startups Dukkantek and Everdome both raised $10 million this August. Dukkantek, a store management platform raised $10m in a pre-Series A round, and Metaverse startup Everdome raised $10 million through a structured token subscription agreement from GEM Digital Limited.

Stake, a Dubai-based digital real estate investment and FinTech platform, raised $8m in a pre-series A funding round. Teeela, Kuwait’s gifting e-commerce platform, raised $3.7m in a pre-series A funding round.

Egypt’s Convertedin and UAE’s Zywa both raised $3 million in August. Convertedin, which is a marketing operating system for e-commerce businesses, raised the funds in a seed round. Zywa, a teen-focused FinTech startup and neo-bank aiming to re-imagine banking for Gen Z, also raised the funds in a seed round.
