Real World Assets
Hamilton is a protocol specializing in tokenizing Real-World Assets (RWA) on Bitcoin. Mohamed Elkasstawi and Ehab Zaghloul co-founded Hamilton to bridge traditional finance with Bitcoin by making tokenized RWAs. This is through leveraging Bitcoin’s security and decentralization. Furthermore, they make RWAs such as T-Bills, Sukuk and real estate accessible to institutions and individuals worldwide.
Mohamed Elkasstawi, CEO of Hamilton said, “With unparalleled security, decentralization, and resilience, Bitcoin provides the ideal infrastructure to democratize access to capital markets for everyone, everywhere.”
Emerging Markets
The RWA market is expected to reach USD 30 trillion by 2030. Thus, Hamilton aims to produce a protocol that makes financial products run by top-asset managers accessible and inclusive globally. Additionally, they aim to focus on emerging markets where currency devaluation and economic instability restrict growth and financial security. In these markets, they seek to tackle systemic barriers to financial access by offering low-cost, stable, financial products.
Hamilton is breaking down these barriers through tokenization, enabling anyone, anywhere in the world, to participate in these institutional-grade investments with just one dollar,” said Malek Sultan, CoFounder and Partner of DisrupTech Ventures
They are launching three flagship offerings: HUSD, HUST and Publius. HUSD is the first Bitcoin-native stablecoin backed by the US Treasury bills whilst, HUST tokenized US Treasuries. Additionally, Publius is a platform which enables financial incision to securely tokenize any asset on Bitcoin. Ultimately, the goal with all three is to provide institutions and individuals with seamless access to capital markets on the world’s most decentralized network.
