Meshini, Saudi Arabia’s travel startup, raised $8m in a seed funding round

Meshini, a Saudi startup specialized in travel and tourism solutions, raised $8 million in a Seed funding round, which amounts to 30 million SAR. The round witnessed participation from Alshadadi Information Technology Company and other undisclosed investors.

The startup will use the funds for geographical expansion, hiring talents, and building a team.

“Since the application of the Mashini system within the technology tourism model, the number of customers has grown by nearly one million customers, and sales have witnessed a growth of 211% since the launch. We have also fulfilled more than 900,000 customer orders and achieved a 180% growth rate in average order value,” Abdulaziz Al Harthy, co-founder of Meshini, said.

Meshini was founded in 2018 and allows customers to book flights online, as well as providing tourism companies solutions to manage their operations.
