– Academy of Scientific Research and Ministry of Youth and Sports select 9 startup companies for incubation at Egypt’s first specialized sports technology incubator

– 87 ideas and startups applied, with 20 technological ideas advancing to the pre-incubation stage

– Incubator, launched in January 2024, aims to provide funding and support, offering up to five million Egyptian pounds in partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Nile University

The Academy of Scientific Research and the Ministry of Youth and Sports announced the qualification of  9 startup companies for the incubation period at the first specialized business incubator in sports technology. 

The incubator received 87 ideas and startup companies, resulting in the qualification of 20 technological ideas for the pre-incubation stage. 

Launched in January 2024, the incubator aims to support startup companies in sports technology with funding and support from the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, with funding of up to five million Egyptian pounds in partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Sports through the Central Administration for Youth Empowerment, in collaboration with Nile University.

Eighty-seven idea owners and startup companies applied to the incubator, resulting in the qualification of  20 technological ideas to attend the pre-incubation training camp, held at the incubator’s headquarters in Nasr City Youth Center.

It is worth mentioning that the Sports Technology Incubator is a new addition to the array of technological incubators within the Innovative Individual Business Incubators program by the Innovation and Invention Development Agency at the Academy. 

The MOYS Business Incubator is a specialized dynamic center established at Nasr City Youth Center as the first incubator within youth and sports entities, working to empower entrepreneurs in the field of sports technology with social and investment impact.

 It will open its doors for the first time and work to transform pioneering ideas to revolutionize the sports technology field in Egypt and achieve a lasting impact on the Egyptian economy.
