Riyadh-based Palm.HR plans expansion to Egypt, UAE

The Riyadh-based Palm.hr announced its expansion plan to Egypt and UAE, after the potential growth it achieved in Saudi Arabia.

The tech-enabled company in human resources, recruitment, team management, and onboarding has recently raised $5 million pre-Series A funding in a round led by Europe-based VC Speedinvest, which marked its debut in Saudi Arabia, and RAED Ventures, with participation from MENA-focused VC firm Wamda Capital.

In an interview with TechCrunch, the founders explained that the company automates payroll, tracks leaves and absences, and follows on staff performance.

It also provides employee self-service features that make internal communication between staff easy. Founded in 2019 by Richard Schrems, Christoph Czichna and Dragan Nikolic, palm.hr aims to facilitate the way businesses and employees interact with HR systems.
